On April 8th, the president of Georgetown University John J. DeGioia visited Panama in honor of the launch of the Bridge of the Americas Endowment Fund. 

The event was hosted by the Alumni Club of Panama and by the Former First Vice President and Foreign Minister of Panama Samuel C. Lewis. 

The Bridge of the Americas Scholarship Endowment Fund consists in providing to a Panamanian National, born and raised in the country, a fully paid tuition to attend Georgetown University for four years. The main two criteria's that are used in selecting the students are by need-base and merit-base.
